Thessaloniki: Holiday destination

A trip to a sunny place is always relaxing. Thessaloniki in Greece is no different. Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece and is situated in the Central Macedonia region. The city is know to be one of the destination for young people throughout Europe. From Berlin to Thessaloniki, you should count 2h20 mins to reach the airport which is outside the city centre. To get to the city centre you will spend approximately 20-25 Euros depending on the traffic in and around town. There are many sites to see in Thessaloniki such as the white tower, which explain the rich history of Thessaloniki. The Byzantine Baths&The Byzantines walls. The city has many restaurants&bars which serves excellent Greek food and bevarages most restaurants & bars have friendly staff that can speak English without any problem and will be ready to assist you. After a long trip around the town, a trip to the beach will be quite relaxing. An  which is not far from the beach is the Hotel Perea, a 2 star hotel very clean hotel with very friendly staff.  On the beach area you have a large choice of restaurants. All of those restaurants serve authentic Greek food. During the summer period the beach is quite full and with so many bars&restaurants it makes the beach area a wonderful place to be. Thessaloniki is a highly recommended place for a cool and wonderful summer holiday.
